1. Eat before you drink.
It doesn't really matter what you eat, just don't go out all night
on an empty stomach. If you do you are asking for nothing but
trouble in the morning.
2. Drink plenty of water: Even during the night
have a glass of water between drinks. Not only will it slow you down
on the drinking but will also help you stay hydrated during the
night.
3. Avoid salt. Salt makes you feel thirstier.
Thirstier people tend to drink more, and drinking more tends to
result in hangovers.
4. Avoid dark drinks and wine: this has something
to do with impurities and congeners. I'm no scientist but I know for
a fact a wine hangover has got to be one of the most painful things
in life. Personally, I'd rather have a broken leg than a wine
hangover....
5. Replace lost nutrients: In plain English, stay hydrated,
drink a Gatorade.
6. Take an aspirin before you pass out.
7. Don’t drink alcohol when you wake up: if you do you might have a problem...(always thought beer and cheerios was a joke.)
Have you got your own secret for avoiding a hangover? Send
them in so
we can add them to the list.
