In honor of the U.S. Presidential election, here is a look at what some of the ex-Presidents liked to indulge in.

  

• Gerald Ford - Gin and Tonic

• Herbert Hoover - Martinis and Manhattans

• Lyndon Johnson - Scotch and soda

• Richard Nixon - Dry Martinis, Rum and Coke

• Harry Truman - Bourbon

• Franklin Delano Roosevelt - Martini (also, many thanks to the man who ended prohibition!!)

• George Washington - Red Wine and Dark Rum.  Ironically, or maybe not so ironically, he named his pet dog "Drunkard"

• Ulysses S. Grant - Whiskey and lots of it!!

• Benjamin Harrison - Bourbon

• Bill Clinton - Beer (with the occasional cigar!!)

• Ted Kennedy - ANYTHING ALCOHOLIC! Ok, so he was never a president but we can't keep one of the worlds most notorious drinkers off the list can we??
